As a family portrait photographer my vision has always been to provide a collection of fine-art portraits for your family. Anywhere from family portraits, maternity portraits, children's portraits, high school senior portraits and even boudoir portraits. I believe it is a way to document, preserve and cherish your families history, not to mention adding some pretty nice art pieces to your home. I enjoy photographing both black and white images as well as colored portraiture. Your family portrait options are endless. I am well versed in both studio and natural lighting, so you will have a unique portrait in studio or outdoors . Each of your finished family portraits will be carefully hand retouched to enhance its beauty, then signed and dated for approval of excellence. I take my photography skills and my passion for photography very seriously. I feel that there is always room to learn and grow as a portrait artist. Each final print is then signed and dated for approval of excellence. Amy considers herself a kid's photographer or children's photographer. " Well kids are just fun. The Heirloom Family Portrait You Are Looking For
Like most Temecula Photographers, Amy Dawnelle uses modern digital photography equipment for her fine-art portrait photography. What sets her apart from local photographers is the timeless style of her family photography. "My images tell a story without dating the image. I want you to look at your portraits from years to come and still love them. No image should say "I was taken in the 90's or early 2000's" It should say "My family has always been beautiful and unique."
All of Amy Dawnelle's photography is printed with archival quality inks. This allows your images to stay vivid for at least 100 years before beginning to fade. Each family portrait will be an heirloom portrait that is archival quality and will be cherished for generations to come.
Your Family's Portrait Session
A typical family portrait session and children's session is scheduled for up to one hour. A typical baby photography sessions may last up to two hours. This allows time for the baby to relax.
Before your portrait session, Amy likes to have a short consultation by phone to talk about the details of your family portrait session. Together you will discuss new ideas and details for you family photography session. During your family portrait session, Amy will photograph an entire collection of poses and backdrop changes. You will then be scheduled 7 - 10 days later at the portrait studio to view your family portrait images. At this appointment you will select your favorite poses and expressions to purchase the final portraits. A typical client will allow a portrait budget of $300 and up. Print package pricing is available to view online and low resolution digital images are available with each 8x10 or larger that is printed.
The First Step When Scheduling A Family Portrait Session
The first step is to look over the session fee and portrait pricing pages. This will help you to decide if Amy Dawnelle is the right photographer for you as well as getting an idea of what type of session you would like.
When choosing a portrait setting, consider your home decor style. You may want to display a beautiful natural light outdoor display with the warm golden sun. You may want a formal classic portrait in studio with an old masters backdrop. Maybe even a modern black and white "expressions collection." When you have decided on your style It is best to contact Amy right away to have your family photography or kids photography scheduled. We typically schedule four to six weeks in advance and six to eight weeks at holiday time. To reserve your portrait day and to discuss portrait details please call Amy at (951)-294-1059. We will be happy to help guide your portrait creation. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to reserve your portrait session time. The balance of the session fee will be due on your portrait day. Credit card deposits may be given by phone when scheduling.
What Should We Wear On The Family Portrait Session
Environmental Outdoor Family Photography: The reason most people pick white is because it is the easiest to shop for and it makes a beautiful portrait. I like to encourage families to go with color if you have time to shop and coordinate colors. My style tends to be earth tones because that is what I like. But what do you like? Think about the colors of your environmental session and try to complement the scenery. I suggest pulling out a color wheel to find the complementing colors of your surroundings. Most Temecula Photographers say "keep it casual when shooting outside." But what is casual? Casual could mean clean, fresh, simple without too much flashy personal style. Or casual could mean vibrant colors, layers with sweaters, jackets scarfs and hats. What is your definition of casual? Whatever it may be, the word of the day is coordinate. Make sure the colors compliment each other. That one person will not stand out above all of the others. Decide if you want clothing to be the theme of your portrait or solely expression.
Studio Family Photography: Again with the coordinating? Of course. In studio I love a simple black backdrop, Black clothing, and a modern black and white family portrait. Then again there is the more formal look. imagine your daughter in a beautiful satin Christmas dress and your son so handsome in a collared button up shirt. That portrait will hang on the family wall for generations. The possibilities are endless.
