Maternity Portrait FAQ | Temecula Maternity Photographer

May 03, 2022

I love the outdoor maternity portraits just as much as the studio. I don't know which one I should choose?

You can choose both! Our outdoor sessions are always photographed one hour before sunset at the "Golden Hour." Adding a location to your session is only $75 and gives you the best of both sessions.

We will book the studio session 1.5 hours before the outdoor session. When Just adding a location, you will have twice as many images to choose from. And twice as many images that you will love.

I'm new to Temecula and I can't think of any cool places to shoot my maternity session. Do you know of any?

Yes! I have so many favorite locations. You don't need to worry. The thing about locations is that they change every year depending on how much rain we received the winter before. I spend a lot of time scouting for new locations.

All I need to know is what style you prefer, and then I can recommend a location for your maternity session. The majority of outdoor pregnancy photos are taken in the Temecula - Murrieta area.

I don't really want to go shopping for something to wear. Do you have dresses for my pregnancy photos?

No problem, I have a wardrobe of maternity dresses and fabrics for your session. All you need to bring are undergarments and lingerie that you'd like to photograph in.

I recommend a black pair and a skin color. Bandeaus and strapless bras help as well.

Other fun additions to bring along are large button-up men's shirts, oversized sweaters, jeans that barely fit, overalls, tank tops, and silky robes

My husband does not like taking pictures. But can he still be in a few shots?

Yes! And tell him not to worry. This is definitely an experience that he will at the very least want to see. He can wear a simple white or black shirt.  I'll add him to poses occasionally, but the majority of posing will be you alone.

The process is very easy and I will rarely ask him to look at the camera and smile. The candid shots are my favorite and I will always help to guide you both into natural-looking maternity portraits, with a focus on your baby belly.

Can I bring props?

You're welcome to bring anything along to your session that you'll love to see in your photos. My style is very simple and often my main focus is emotion, expression, and, posing.

My goal is to create beautiful portraits that will hang on the walls of your home for years to come.
