Hey there! I'm Amy Dawnelle, your friendly neighborhood photographer, and I know just how challenging booking a fall family portrait session can be. As an award-winning professional photographer with 20 years of experience and a mom of three, I've seen it all. So, let's talk about some of those frustrations and how we can turn them into a fun and memorable experience for your family.

Booking a family photoshoot, especially in the fall, can feel like herding cats, right? The weather is unpredictable, the kids are bouncing off the walls, and coordinating everyone's outfits can feel like a full-time job. And let's not forget the dread of feeling like you’re just not “ready” to be in front of the camera. Trust me, you are not alone in this struggle. So many moms feel the same way.

So you've finally managed to get everyone's schedules aligned. You've picked out coordinating outfits that took way too long to agree on. You arrive at the location, and just as the photographer starts snapping, your youngest decides to throw a tantrum, the eldest refuses to smile, and your partner looks like they'd rather be anywhere else. Sound like your biggest fear? It's enough to make you want to throw in the towel before you've even begun.

I am here to tell you that you don’t have to let your concerns stop you from having the best family photoshoot ever. This is how the day will really happen. You’ll show up to your session, and the kids are actually excited. They’re running around, playing, and genuinely smiling. You feel relaxed because you know you’re in good hands. The session is fun, the kids are having a blast, and you actually enjoy the experience. With 20 years of practice and experience, that’s what I aim to create at Amy Dawnelle Modern Heirloom Photography.
