In-Home Creative Session Fee

Your in-home newborn portrait session includes up to 2 hours of photography in the comfort of your own home, with a beautiful mix of gently posed portraits and natural, candid moments. Your newborn and immediate family, including siblings, are all welcome to be part of the session.
After your session, you’ll enjoy a personalized ordering appointment where you’ll see your finished images and choose your favorite digital files and portrait products. By choosing after your session, you have the freedom to purchase as many or as few images as you’d like.

We’ll reserve a date 7-14 days after your due date and start planning your session, including colors, styling, and any special ideas you have in mind.

During your session, you can relax while I photograph your newborn and guide your family through beautiful, natural portraits together.

3. View Your Finished Portraits
About 3-5 days later, we’ll meet in the studio or over Zoom to see your newborn portraits for the very first time.

I’ll help you select your favorite portraits, wall art, albums, and digital images so you can choose the pieces you’ll love seeing in your home for years to come.

When should I book a newborn photoshoot?
I recommend reserving your newborn session for 7 to 14 days after your due date. In most cases, babies arrive before or close to their due date, making it easy to keep the scheduled appointment while still giving us a little flexibility if we need to adjust the date.
This approach helps ensure your baby's portraits are created within the ideal newborn window, when they're typically sleepiest and most comfortable in those sweet, curled-up poses. If your little one decides to arrive earlier or later than expected, we'll simply adjust your session date as needed.
While the first two weeks are ideal for those classic sleepy newborn portraits, I'm happy to photograph babies at any age. Every baby is unique, and I take a completely baby-led approach to every session. Your baby's comfort and safety always come first, and I'll only create poses that your baby is naturally comfortable with. As babies grow, they become more alert and expressive, allowing us to capture a different style of beautiful portraits that celebrate their developing personality.
My goal is to make the scheduling process as easy and stress-free as possible while ensuring your baby has a calm, comfortable, and enjoyable portrait experience.

How Much are Digital Files and Prints?
Portrait collections, digital files, wall art, albums, and gift prints are purchased separately from your Creative Session Fee, with collections beginning at $550.
You'll have the opportunity to view your beautifully finished portraits before making any decisions, so there's no need to choose a collection in advance. During your personal View & Order appointment, I'll help you select the images and artwork you love most, whether you're looking for digital files, framed wall art, an heirloom album, or a combination of products.

Do you include retouching?
Yes. Every portrait you purchase is individually hand-retouched with great care and attention to detail. Professional retouching includes the removal of temporary blemishes such as baby acne, scratches, flaky skin, stray hairs, and other minor distractions. I also offer subtle, natural-looking enhancements, including gentle body shaping, upon request. My goal is always to create beautiful, timeless portraits while preserving the natural beauty of you and your family.
Do you offer props?
Yes! You're welcome to bring along any meaningful or sentimental items you'd like to include in your portraits, such as a special blanket, heirloom, ultrasound photo, or family keepsake. These personal touches can make your images even more meaningful.
There's no need to bring props, though. I provide a carefully curated collection of studio props, wraps, blankets, headbands, hats, and other accessories, along with a beautiful client wardrobe for maternity and baby sessions. Everything has been thoughtfully selected to create a timeless, cohesive, and elevated look that keeps the focus on you, your baby, and your family's connection.
Do you offer a weekends?
Yes, limited weekend appointments are available upon request for an additional fee. To maintain a healthy work-life balance, I reserve most weekends for my family, so weekend availability is limited and tends to book well in advance.
